How to use Order Eraser for Magento
STEP 1: Install the Order Eraser extension
To install the Order Eraser free extension on your Magento admin, follow the below steps:
- Log in to your Wyomind account.
- From the Watchlog extension page, click on DOWNLOAD and then on BUY NOW (no worry, the extension is free).
- You should be redirected to:
Your accounT › Licenses & Downloads - Click the settings icon next the the Watchlog extension.
- Select the version you want to download and click the Download button.
- Install the extension.
- Activate your free license.
The Order Eraser extension is now installed and ready to use!
STEP 2: Use the Order Eraser extension
With Order Eraser, you can clean your sales database in one go. The extension will automatically delete:
- the orders you've selected
- the linked invoices
- all linked data
The extension can be ready to use in a few minutes only.
After having installed the extension, go to:
Sales › Orders
Select the orders you want to delete and from the Actions dropdown, choose Delete.
A notification should be displayed at the top of your admin saying that your orders are now deleted from your Magento admin.
FAQ
License and domains
License validity
A license is valid for an unlimited period of time on one single Magento installation.
If you use more than one Magento installation, you will have to buy a separate license for each one.
If you run several domains on the same Magento installation, you will need only one license for all of them.
Although your license doesn’t have a limited period of validity, your support period does. By purchasing an extension, you’ll be granted a 6-month support period for free. Passed this period, you will have to renew your Support plan (see FAQ: How to extend my support period?).Domains pre-registration
You can pre-register your live domain to your license in advance.
Thanks to this option, you'll be able to get the extension ready to use on your domain before it goes live.
To pre-register your production domain:
- Go to:
mY account › Licenses & DOwnloads - Click on
next to the extension you want your domain to pre-register on. - Click on the link at the bottom of the page saying:
Do you want to pre-register your domain in order to be ready to go live?
- Finally, enter your domain name and click on pre-register now .
Testing environments
One license is valid for an unlimited period of time on one Magento installation only.
It is possible, however, to extend or transfer your license in 2 cases:
- If you'd like to add your testing environments to your license.
In this case, it is possible to extend your license to an unlimited number of domains for free.
For example mywebsite-staging.com or mywebsite-dev.com - If you want to transfer your license to another live domain.
In that case, the support period for your license must still be active.
To be able to use Order Eraser on both your production and testing environments, follow the instructions below:
- Download Order Eraser.
(see FAQ: Extensions download). - Install Order Eraser on your production environment.
(see FAQ: Extensions installation) - Activate the license.
(see FAQ: Extensions activation). - From your Magento admin panel, enter your current Activation Key in:
syStem › CONFIGuration › WYOMING › YOUR EXTENSION - Save your configuration.
Now that you can use Order Eraser on your production environment, repeat the same steps as above on your testing environments.
The only difference this time: a notification will appear in your Magento admin.
You will be given a choice between:
- buy a new license now
- add this domain to my license
Click on Add this domain to my license.
A transfer request will then be sent to our team within an hour.
Once the request is taken care of, you will receive a confirmation email.
If your transfer request is accepted, you can use Order Eraser on both environments at the same time.
The order in which you activate your license on your domains does not matter.You can start with your staging/dev/local environment or with your live domain, the process will be the same.

Extensions download
In order to download Order Eraser, log into your Wyomind account:
- Go to:
my account › Licenses & downloads - Click on the icon next to Order Eraser.
A new window opens.
- Choose the version of Order Eraser.
You will be able to choose the most recent version of Order Eraser (for both Magento 1 and Magento 2).
- Click on .
Your download can start.
Extensions upgrade
When purchasing an extension from wyomind.com, you benefit from a lifetime upgrade. You can at any time download the latest version of the extension directly from your account.
To upgrade Order Eraser, follow the steps below:
- Go to:
my account › Licenses & Downloads - Click on next to Order Eraser.
- Choose the latest version of Order Eraser (for Magento 1 and Magento 2).
- Click on download .
- Install the new version of Order Eraser to update your Magento admin.
Modules Installation/Uninstallation
Extensions uninstallation
To uninstall Order Eraser, go on its zip folder and open it.
You will find a shell file (such as: yourextension-uninstall.sh) that you must execute on both your server and Magento root directory.
Once the uninstallation is over, refresh your cache and enable the compiler back again (if you use it).
Extensions installation
Before installing Order Eraser, you’ll have to:
- Backup your Magento installation in:
system › tools › backups - Disable the compiler in your Magento admin panel if it’s not already disabled:
system › tools › COMPILATIONS - Refresh your cache in:
system › select cache type › actions › refresh › submit
Now you can install Order Eraser:
- Download Order Eraser (zip file) from:
my account › my downloads
Refer to FAQ here: Extensions download - Once Order Eraser is downloaded, open the folder and unzip it.
- Copy the content of the unzip folder and paste all files and directories in your Magento root directory (the folder content can vary according to the extension but it generally includes app, lib and skin folders).
- Once your installation is complete, don't forget to enable the compiler back (if it was already enabled before the installation) and run compilation process.
- Refresh your cache, logout from your admin panel and log back in right after.

Once Order Eraser is installed, you have to activate the license:
- Go to your Magento admin panel. A message pops up at the top of the page.
configuration › advanced › advancedIf the message doesn't appear then you must check that:
Wyomind's License Manager has not been removed from your installation.
Wyomind's License Manager is enabled in: app/etc/modules/Wyomind_Licensemanager.xml
The HTML output for Wyomind_Licensemanager and/or Adminhtml_Notification are not disabled in your system under: system - Copy your activation key.
You can find your activation key in 2 different places:
- In the confirmation email that you received after purchasing Order Eraser
- In your Wyomind account:MY ACcount › My downloads, select Order Eraser and click on . A new page opens where you'll find your activation key (see below).
- In your Magento admin go to:
SysteM › Configuration › Wyomind › Your extension
Paste the activation key in the Activation Key field and choose between the automatic (yes) or the manual (no) activation method:
- By choosing Yes, the connection to Wyomind license server will be automatic.
- By choosing No, you will have to log on to Wyomind license server yourself.
- Save the configuration.
- Clear your caches.
- A message appears at the top of your admin panel: Activate it now! Click on that link.
- Copy and paste the license code in the License code field from your admin or simply click on Activate now!
- Finally, refresh your cache, log out and log back in straight after, to complete the installation.
To activate the license of an extension that includes other modules, you’ll have to repeat the steps described above for each extension, using the corresponding activation keys (each module has its own activation key).
Troubleshooting
White page using the extension
If you're getting a white page using the extension, you should enable the error reporting in order to display the error. You can do that from index.php.

Nice Tool, But Invoices & Shipments Are Not Being Deleted
I tried your too, and it works very nice. All of my orders were deleted quickly, but the invoices & shipment records still stay. I tried re-indexing, and cleaning the cache but no help. I used it on Magento 2.2.3.

Good but it has a permission problem
The module is good but it has a permission problem in Magento 1.9.2.4: The class Wyomind_Orderseraser_Adminhtml_OrderseraserController must override the _isAllowed method so not superadmin users can access the order deleting functionality.
The solution is to add this code in the class:
protected function _isAllowed() {
return Mage::getSingleton('admin/session')->isAllowed('sales/order/actions/delete');
}
As a suggestion, It would be useful to have a confirmation dialog in the mass action as well, and some configuration option to disable the module.
Anyway, in general it is good.

Worked For me!
This really helped me out, as a magento newbie, couldn't find where to remove/delete orders. Google search suggested writing scripts, or accessing the various tables, which I wasn't confident in implementing.
We had lots of test orders which we didn't want to leave in place and I'm not sure why delete isn't an option right out of the box, but this plugin works and I now have a clean orders dashboard!
I'm running CE version 1.9.4 and it's installed and worked for me.

Action "Delete orders" doesn't show
I installed it, I checked if the extension is enabled and it is. When I go to orders and want to select Delete orders the action doesn't appear in drop box.
Did I miss something?

Only feedback I would leave, is that even after the orders are deleted, their values still stay in the sales reports. So the deleted orders still stay in your sales totals essentially. So referring to the Reports > Sales > Orders section in admin area. They don't appear on your dashboard totals. Deleted fine from that.
