With Pickup@Store that includes the Point of Sale extension, you can manage as many warehouses or points of sale as you want in the backend of Magento.

To configure your points of sale, click on Add one POS / Warehouse.

General information

Each POS must have at least a name, a code, an order of display, latitude and longitude. Other information is additional, however, we recommend you to fill in a maximum of fields.

You will also be able to reuse these fields in the Google map display.

Store views selection

A point of sale can be linked to one or more Magento store views. Only those points of sale linked to a store view are then displayed for customers in Google Maps.

You must then select in the Customer Group Selection tab, the customer group(s) that will be able to see the point of sale.

Orders

In the Orders tab, the order grid is displayed. You will find all the orders for which the point of sale has been selected as a store pickup.

Configure the display of your points of sale

In order to edit the display of your points of sale in the Google map, go to:
System › Configuration › Wyomind › POS / Warehouses

You'll also be able to edit the store description template as well as the time format.

Add your Google API key

There you will be able to add your API key in the Google API key field.

Indeed, Google is now asking for an API key to display the Google map. If you don't have an API key yet, check our faq to know how to get your own key.

Edit the Store description template

Also, you'll be able to change the position of the information and add some PHP code.

For example, let's say you want to display the phone number in red. You'll just need to add:

{{phone}}

To see your points of sale on the map, go to http://www.yourwebsite.com/pointofsales.

Edit the Time format to display

You can also edit the time format. For example, to write 2:30 AM, use:

h:i A

For more details, you can refer to the below table:

STEP 3: Configure the Store Pickup method

Enable the store pickup in the Shipping methods

So as to enable the store pickup method, you need to go to:

System › Configuration › Sales › Shipping Methods

There you will be able to configure the Pickup@Store extension according to your needs.

Store pickup

Start with enabling the store pickup.

• Enabled
If at any time, you want to disable that method, you'll need to change that option to NO.
• Title
Change the title of the method if you desire or leave it on Store pickup. This will be displayed in the checkout when your customers will choose the shipping method.
• Handling Fee
The handling fee will be charged during the order, if you define one, don't forget to enter the decimal point.
• Display the locations in a dropdown
If you prefer not to display the locations in a dropdown, you can choose NO. Each point of sale will be displayed in a new line.

Otherwise, if you choose to display the locations in a dropdown, then the different points of sale should appear with the Google map as below and your customers should be able to select the day and the time when they want to pick up their order if you've enabled the options.

• Display the Google map
Finally, you can choose to display or not the Google Map in the frontend. Your customers will also have the possibility to show the point of sale on Google maps via a link that will directly redirect them.
• Sort order
Define the sort order of the store pickup method.
Date settings
Pickup@Store gives the customers the opportunity to decide on the day when they want to pick up their orders.

• Allow the customer to choose the day to pickup the order
Let your customers decide and choose a day to pick up their orders.
• Allow pickup method ahead
Choose how much time in advance the store pickup method can be planned. For example, allow pickup method ahead 15 days.
• Date format to display
Here you can choose how you want the date to be displayed in the frontend. A table should help you to configure the date format as you want it to appear. Pickup@Store can be totally customized.
For example, for Wednesday 14th April, you should write:

l jS F

Time settings
You can also go further and give your customers entire satisfaction by allowing them to choose the time to pick up their orders.

• Allow the customer to choose the time to pickup the order
Let your customers choose when they want to pick up their orders.
• Pickup time range
Define a pickup time range. You need to be aware that this range shouldn't exceed 60 minutes.
• Minimum time required to handle an order
You will also need to define the minimum time required to handle an order. In the case where you need one day (24 hours) to prepare the order, you'll be able to write:

1440

• Time format to display
Finally, choose how you want the time to be displayed in the frontend. Here again, it is totally up to you. For example, if you refer to the table below, to display 11:30 am, you should write:

g:i a

At the end of your configuration, if everything is enabled, you should be able to see in the checkout (frontend) the Google map as well as the closest point(s) of sale, their addresses and opening hours.

Your customers will finally be able to decide on the point of sale they prefer as well as the day and time when they want to pick up their order.

Use Pickup@Store with OneStepCheckout

One Step Checkout extensions
Extensions such as OneStepCheckout reduce significantly the number of steps required during checkout.

They allow customers to finalize their orders quickly by grouping together all payment steps in one. These modules guarantee a better user experience and improve sales considerably.

However, Pickup@Store is not natively compatible with these extensions.

Below is an overview of Pickup@Store used with One Page Checkout from IWD Extensions. The extension is completely free and is one of the most popular extensions used from Magento Marketplace.

Compatibility with One Page Checkout

So that Pickup@Store can work with the One Page Checkout from IWD Extensions, you need to bring some changes to the source code.

Below are the modifications to bring:

1. In app/design/frontend/default/layout/iwd_opc.xml, after the line which includes <reference name="head">, add:
<action method="addItem">
<type>skin_css</type>

</action>
<action method="addItem">
<type>skin_js</type>

</action>
<action method="addItem">
<type>skin_js</type>

</action>
<block type="core/text" name="googlemap">
<action method="setText">
<text>

</text>
</action>
</block>
2. In app\code\community\IWD\Opc\controllers\JsonController.php, after the line which includes $result = $this->getOnepage()->saveShippingMethod($data);, add:
/* PICKUP@STORE CUSTOMIZATIONS */
if ($this->getRequest()->getPost('pickup_day')) {
$pos_id = substr($data, stripos($data, '_') + 1);
$data = Mage::getModel('pointofsale/pointofsale')->getPlace($pos_id)->getFirstItem()->getData();
$shipping['firstname'] = "Store Pickup";
$shipping['lastname'] = $data['name'];
$shipping['company'] = '';
$shipping['city'] = $data['city'];
$shipping['postcode'] = $data['postal_code'];
$shipping['country_id'] = $data['country_code'];
$shipping['region_id'] = Mage::getModel('directory/region')->loadByCode($data['state'], $data['country_code'])->getRegionId();
$shipping['region'] = Mage::getModel('directory/region')->loadByCode($data['state'], $data['country_code'])->getName();
$shipping['telephone'] = $data['main_phone'];
$shipping['street'] = array($data['address_line_1'], $data['address_line_2']);
$shipping['same_as_billing'] = 0;
$this->getOnepage()->saveShipping($shipping, false);
}
/* PICKUP@STORE CUSTOMIZATIONS */
3. In app\design\frontend\base\default\template\pickupatstore\checkout\onepage\shipping_method\available.phtml, comment below lines by adding 2 slashes before each one:
// if (Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getPickupatstore() && $code != "pickupatstore" || !Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getPickupatstore() && $code == "pickupatstore")
// continue;
4. Finally, remove the below code:
<?php if (Mage::getSingleton('core/session')->getPickupatstore() && Mage::getStoreConfig('carriers/pickupatstore/active') && Mage::getStoreConfig('carriers/pickupatstore/dropdown') && Mage::getStoreConfig('carriers/pickupatstore/gmap')): ?>

and replace with:
<?php<  if (Mage::getStoreConfig('carriers/pickupatstore/active') && Mage::getStoreConfig('carriers/pickupatstore/dropdown') && Mage::getStoreConfig('carriers/pickupatstore/gmap')): ?>

License and domains

License migration to Magento 2

We offer our customers who want to migrate their Magento 1 license to a Magento 2 license, the transfer at a reduced price.

You have the possibility to migrate your license directly from your Wyomind account in:
My account › Licenses & Downloads

Click on migrate to magento 2 in front of the extension and the domain you want to transfer.

Confirm you want to migrate your license to a Magento 2 license by clicking on Confirm and checkout .

An invoice will be automatically added to your account from:
My account › Invoices

The price of the transfer is equivalent to a 30% reduction compared to the price of the regular Magento 2 license.

You can proceed to the payment by clicking on PP .

Once the payment is done, you can go back to:
My account › Licenses & Downloads

There you will be able to download and install your license for Magento 2.

License validity

A license is valid for an unlimited period of time on one single Magento installation.

If you use more than one Magento installation, you will have to buy a separate license for each one.

If you run several domains on the same Magento installation, you will need only one license for all of them.

Although your license doesn’t have a limited period of validity, your support period does. By purchasing an extension, you’ll be granted a 6-month support period for free. Passed this period, you will have to renew your Support plan (see FAQ: How to extend my support period?).
Domains pre-registration

You can pre-register your live domain to your license in advance.

Thanks to this option, you'll be able to get the extension ready to use on your domain before it goes live.

To pre-register your production domain:

1. Go to:
mY account › Licenses & DOwnloads
2. Click on next to the extension you want your domain to pre-register on.
3. Click on the link at the bottom of the page saying:
Do you want to pre-register your domain in order to be ready to go live?
4. Finally, enter your domain name and click on pre-register now .
Testing environments

One license is valid for an unlimited period of time on one Magento installation only.

It is possible, however, to extend or transfer your license in 2 cases:

• If you'd like to add your testing environments to your license.
In this case, it is possible to extend your license to an unlimited number of domains for free.
For example mywebsite-staging.com or mywebsite-dev.com
• If you want to transfer your license to another live domain.
In that case, the support period for your license must still be active.

To be able to use Pickup@Store on both your production and testing environments, follow the instructions below:

1. Download Pickup@Store.
(see FAQ: Extensions download).
2. Install Pickup@Store on your production environment.

4. From your Magento admin panel, enter your current Activation Key in:
syStem › CONFIGuration › WYOMING › YOUR EXTENSION
5. Save your configuration.

Now that you can use Pickup@Store on your production environment, repeat the same steps as above on your testing environments.

The only difference this time: a notification will appear in your Magento admin.

You will be given a choice between:

1. buy a new license now
2. add this domain to my license

Click on Add this domain to my license.

A transfer request will then be sent to our team within an hour.

Once the request is taken care of, you will receive a confirmation email.

If your transfer request is accepted, you can use Pickup@Store on both environments at the same time.

The order in which you activate your license on your domains does not matter.
You can start with your staging/dev/local environment or with your live domain, the process will be the same.

Modules use

Create a Google API key

In order to use Pickup@Store, you need to have a Google API key filled in the extension's settings.

Translate some text on the frontend

For example, you want to translate some expressions for the French store view.

Go to your Magento root directory. Copy the Wyomind_pickupatstore.csv file under app/locale/en_US to app/locale/fr_FR (or to the language you want).

In that file, you can add some entries and translations. For example:

• "First name","Prénom"
• "Last name","Nom"
• ....

Here is below an example of a translation csv file.

You could also use the "Translate Inline" tool available in the magento system in:
System › Configuration › Advanced › Developer › Translate Inline

How to make the difference between a warehouse and a point of sale?

With the Pickup@Store extension, you have the choice between two statuses while creating your stores:

• warehouse
• point of sale

In order to configure your Magento shop, you need to understand what's the difference between both statuses.

A warehouse won't be visible at all by the customers from the front-office.

A point of sale will be visible on the Google map in the front-office. In the case where you're using Advanced Inventory , customers will be able to check if products are in stock in these points of sale directly from the front-office, and if you're using Pickup@Store, they will have the possibility to come and pickup their orders in these points of sale.

Use another template package than "default"

If you're using another template package than "default" (eg: "rwd" for Magento 1.9), simply copy the files and folders you'll find in:
app/design/frontend/default/default/

into:
app/design/frontend/your_package/default/

Customize the Point of Sale map

The template which allows the Point of Sale map to display is easy to modify with basic PHP and HTML skills.

The Point of Sale template is found, by default, in:
app/design/frontend/default/default/template/pointofsale/pointofsale.phtml

All the CSS styles and associated images required to display the Point of Sale map are in:
skin/frontend/default/default/
pointofsale/

To translate the wording on the Point of Sale map either use the on-line Magento translation tool or, copy and translate the translation files available in:
app/locale/en_US/Wyomind_pointofsale.csv

Ensure the store pickup method is available in the frontend

So that the pickup method is available from the Magento frontend, you must check that:

• the Store pickup method is enabled in:
System › Configuration › Sales › Shipping Methods
• you have selected Available as shipping method for store pickup for your points of sale in:
Sales › Manage POS / Warehouses
• you have selected at least one store view and one customer group for each one of your points of sale in:
SAles › Manage POS / Warehouses

Otherwise, the points of sale won't be visible.

Display the pickup locations in a dropdown

By default Magento displays the different shipping methods using the radio buttons in the order page.

You can also display your points of sale in a dropdown. If you want to activate the Display the locations in a dropdown option, you can go to:
System › configuration › shipping methods › Store Pickup

By enabling that option, this will save you some space.

Change the time format of the points of sale

You need to go to:
System › Configuration › Wyomind › Point of Sale

There you will be able to define your own time format with the help of the table displayed below.

Change the size of the images in Google Map

At line 39 of the below file:
app/design/frontend/default/default/template/pointofsale/pointofsale.pthml

Change the values for height and weight into:

<?php echo Mage::helper('pointofsale')->getImage($place->getImage(), 150, 150, true, "float:right"); ?>
Display the distance to a pickup location in miles instead of km

You can easily replace km with miles by editing the following file:
\skin\frontend\base\default\pointofsale\js\pointofsale.js

In line 178, replace:
unitSystem: google.maps.UnitSystem.METRIC

with:
unitSystem: google.maps.UnitSystem.IMPERIAL

Troubleshooting

Fatal error: Mage_Core_Model_Resource_Setup.php

If your site crashes and gives this error message after uploading all files to the correct folders:

Fatal error: Class 'Wyomind_Notificationmanager_Model_Resource_Setup' not found in includes/src/Mage_Core_Model_Resource_Setup.php on line 234

It probably comes from installing an extension while the compiler is still enabled.

Important note:

• If the compilation is enabled on your website, disable it first before installing any extension from:
System › Tools › Compilation
After installation re-run the compilation process and re-enable the compiler.
• Before installing any extension, it's advisable to backup your Magento installation.

Here is how to disable the Magento compiler:

1. Edit the following file: includes/config.php and add a # before the 2 following lines:
define('COMPILER_INCLUDE_PATH', dirname(__FILE__).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'src');define('COMPILER_COLLECT_PATH', dirname(__FILE__).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'stat');

to get:

#define('COMPILER_INCLUDE_PATH', dirname(__FILE__).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'src');#define('COMPILER_COLLECT_PATH', dirname(__FILE__).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'stat');
2. Then go back to your website admin and re-run the compilation process.
White page using the extension

If you're getting a white page using the extension, you should enable the error reporting in order to display the error. You can do that from index.php.

404 error in the configuration page
Most of the time log-out/log-in may solve this issue.
Product and/or order Grids overridden by third party module

If your products/orders grid doesn't show any new columns, it means you may have some conflicts with other extensions.

Then, install the free extension Modules Conflict Detector from Alekseon. It will help you to check if you have conflicts in rewrites between installed modules.

Once the module is installed, you should be able to see what the problem if you go to:
Alekseon tools › Modules Conflict Detector

In our case, we can see that the Order grid is overridden by:
CompanyName_ModuleName_block_adminhtml_Order_Grid

In that case, copy the class name that overrides the default Magento grid, for example CompanyName_ModuleName_block_adminhtml_Order_Grid and go to:
System › Config › Wyomind › The extension

In the System tab, you're able to override 2 grids (depending on the module):

• Product grid to override: by default `Mage_Adminhtml_Block_Catalog_Product_Grid`
• Order grid to override: by default `Mage_Adminhtml_Block_Sales_Order_Grid'

You should then paste the new class name into the appropriated field and save your config.

Google Map is not displayed - "NoApiKeys" in the console

As of June 2016 some changes have been made to the Google Maps APIs Standard Plan. Among these changes, Google no longer support requests that don't include an API key as they allow Google to contact developers when required and help them identify misbehaving implementations.

If you're getting an error "NoApiKeys" in your console, it means the script element that loads the API has no API key. You need to make sure you include a valid API key as a key parameter. You can generate a new API key on the Google Developers Console (see how to get an API key).

Once you have an API key, you can fill in the Google API key field with it, in:
System › Configuration › Wyomind › POS/Warehouse

This feature is available from Pickup@Store.2.3.0 and Point Of Sale 5.5.0.

Wyomind a great choice for our extension.

We choose Wyomind as it has outstanding reviews for their extensions. Their click & collect extension has everything we want for our new ecommerce site, with ease of use for our new online customers. I would recommend to anyone looking for any ecommerce extensions to look no further than Wyomind. After looking at other companies it wasn't a hard decision but to go with Wyomind.

Wyomind has good plugins, we have used in multiple sites

Have used Wyomind plugins in multiple sites; pick up at store and the point of sale have also gotten some customization done for these. Overall experience was positive for installation and customization. The support desk was responsive and developers also were good although migrating to staging site created some issues in customization which were resolved later

Really useful extension we have been using this since 2.1 and is working all the way through to 2.3.5

We have leveraged this plugin for store pickup, the interface is easy to use and it integrates nicely, without bloat or overly opinionated styling, that many plugins suffer from. We would recommend this plugin for those looking to add pick up in store functionality.
